On September 17, it's time to once again CELEBRATE THE ARTS at Sherman's annual Arts Fest at the Municipal Building and Lucy Kidd-Key Park. This year's event (the 41st!) will be packed with activities, from the Sherman Education Foundation's 5K run to live performances throughout the day on two stages.
You'll also find the Sherman Art League's annual show and sale, a delightful performance of Matilda the Musical at the Honey McGee Playhouse, the family favorite Kids Alley, and more than 170 vendors. The Sherman Public Library, just down the street, is holding a book sale the same day. Oh, and stop by the Community Mural that was created last year for Arts Fest's 40th anniversary and snap a selfie or two! Tag us at #shermanarts.
Do drop in for a day of creative fun and relaxation! Arts Fest is free and the festival is open from 9-4 p.m., with the 5K run starting at 7 a.m.
